The Ceilings and Interior Systems Construction Association (CISCA) has awarded two projects that feature pinta acoustic products with high honors in its 2012 Construction Excellence Awards. Both entries, the Splash! Sculpture and Blue Smoke Restaurant, were submitted in the boutique category, which represents unique interior projects less than 10,000 square feet (929 m2)

When Blue Smoke opened its second New York City location, the restaurant’s owners wanted a natural-meets-industrial décor evocative of the original site without being directly imitative. The ceiling treatment also needed to provide acoustical control a vital component in a busy Manhattan restaurant. Blue Smoke selected ceiling products from pinta acoustic BIOLINE® Organic Wood Ceiling Tiles and SQUARELINE® Metal Ceiling Tiles for the new Battery Park City location.
